Are You and Your Child Ready for Prom?

Lights! Camera! Action!

PROMposals, pictures, handsome boys, beautiful girls, dresses, tuxes, pictures, pictures, pictures … all over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat!

Parents and guardians are sharing proud moments of their loved ones who are about to graduate from high school with one of the last rituals: prom.

However, this can also be a time of negative reflections for those of us who have special needs children. It can be a brutal reminder of the limitations we face that hinder them from enjoying the festivities and participating in the promposals.

To be honest, I’m filled with envy and bitterness as my Facebook newsfeed is filled with endless pictures of others savoring their children’s milestones into adulthood. To me this is a time of constant reminders of my child’s limitations. We totally understand if you feel the same and encourage you to join us in creating a different kind of trend.

Mosaic Haven invites all of you to celebrate your loved ones with special needs here with us, together. Use the prom time to schedule a special event with your child; go shopping for a special outfit, enjoy a special meal together, with all the pampering and fuss of a prom!

Let them (and you) feel special for all the accomplishments throughout their schooling! We hope that you can make a splash on the Mosaic Haven Facebook page with pictures capturing all the special moments you and your loved ones have shared over the years or on this one special Prom that you created!

Let’s get started now!
